Journalist Ryan Taylor says that West Ham are "highly probable" to make a move for Manchester United defender.
West Ham’s chances for making a move for Manchester United defender Aaron Wan Bissaka is “highly probable”, according to Daily Express journalist Ryan Taylor.
After news broke from Sky Sports that Czech full back Vladimir Coufal is “frustrated” behind the scenes at West Ham, and that Bayer Leverkusen were interested in signing him January, it is not surprising that West Ham are looking to sign a new right back. Especially with Coufal’s contract running out in 2023, West Ham have an option to extend his contract until 2025. Wan Bissaka seems to be the primary replacement for Coufal, and the out-of-favour Manchester United defender could make a return to London after departing Crystal Palace in 2019.
ExWHUEmployee confirmed the interest in Wan Bissaka on his West Ham Way podcast, saying it would likely be a loan deal due to Wan Bissaka’s lack of game time in Manchester. The Englishman has played just 4 minutes in all competitions this season, and doesn’t seem to be in Erik Ten Hag’s plans with Diogo Dalot playing well in the league and coming off the back of a great World Cup. Crystal Palace have also looked into the possibility of signing Wan Bissaka and bringing him back to Selhurst Park.
Ryan Taylor stated when asked by GIVEMESPORT that West Ham making a move for the 25 year-old is “highly probably” as West Ham have admired Wan Bissaka for some time, even making a move for him in August of this year. Wan Bissaka could sort West Ham out defensively for sure, as we’ve seen that he is a very good tackler of the ball. Unfortunately, his attacking output isn’t fantastic, but I’m sure this is something that could be worked around.
