Erik Ten Hag labels West Ham as "title challengers" in interview!
Whilst talking to reporters, Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag labelled West Ham United as a part of 7-8 clubs that could pose a future threat to the Manchester clubs’ title pursuit. In the interview, he said “There’s a change in circumstances when you compare (the Premier League) with five or 10 years ago. The competition is much tougher. Newcastle are coming, even West Ham, maybe not now in the table but they have huge investment”.
Erik Ten Hag mentioned that he could count “seven or eight clubs that can compete in this league”, and included 16th place West Ham over top of the league Arsenal, leaving many fans confused at the Dutchman’s comments!
It seems the Manchester United boss has a lot more hope for the team than West Ham fans currently do, with many wanting David Moyes sacked for how poor the team has been this season. With a manager like Erik Ten Hag thinking you could challenge the Premier League title in the near future, perhaps West Ham should stick it out with David Moyes. After all, we know what he can do with the squad and we’ve seen what he did with Everton a decade ago!
